National estate agency Jackson-Stops has today announced the expansion of its presence across the Cornish coast, with the hiring of three new directors.

Jackson-Stops’ latest expansion in North Cornwall will be headed up by three experienced local estate agents, alongside current Director, Ben Standen, and Sales Negotiator, Zara Roberts. The Truro branch based on Lemon Street has been successfully operating for 23 years under the leadership of Ben Standen.

Richard Holder, Dean Lonergan, and Daniel Ball have worked together for the past 10 years as part of the prestigious local team at David Ball and are well established figures in the local area.

The trio, who have over 100 years of property buying and selling knowledge, will specialise in prime coastal homes under the Jackson-Stops brand.

The growth of the team in Cornwall reflects the unwavering demand for coastal homes, from long sandy beaches to picturesque fishing villages that enjoyed a pandemic ‘boom’.

Ben Standen, Director at Jackson-Stops Cornwall branch, comments: "Cornwall's magnetism is rooted in its diverse property landscape, vibrant culture, dynamic local markets, top-notch education, and a plethora of recreational pursuits. We’re seeing leads come in from across our network and appetite from those who have never visited before wanting to have a slice of the good life. Richard, Dean and Daniel join the business at an exciting time, allowing Jackson-Stops to expand its presence further into Cornwall, stretching from St Agnes to Padstow.”

The Cornwall expansion follows the launch of two new offices in Stockbridge and Colchester earlier this summer, broadening the Jackson-Stops network to 42 offices across England. Jackson-Stops is one of the UK’s oldest estate agency brands, originally founded in 1910 after Herbert Jackson-Stops opened an estate agent office in the Town Hall in Towcester. The business has become a go-to brand for its rich heritage in the countryside and waterside homes markets, with its full offering encompassing residential sales, lettings, land, new homes, country houses and commercial property.

The Newquay-based agents will work closely with Jackson-Stops other offices in Truro and nearby Devon, to provide prospective buyers and sellers access to the Cornish coast and local knowledge under a trusted national brand.

Nick Leeming, Chairman of Jackson-Stops, comments: “This is a momentous time for the Jackson-Stops network. The property market in Cornwall has gone from strength to strength in the past three years, with the flexibility of home working and improved transport links making Cornwall a viable home even for London commuters. Richard, Dean and Daniel’s depth of experience of the Cornish market make them a dream trio for the brand, perfectly positioned to help buyers and sellers on their home buying journey. I’m confident that their experience, together with Ben and Zara’s longstanding reputation, is a recipe for coastal success.”

Richard Holder, one of three new Directors at Jackson-Stops Cornwall, is known for his vast experience in counselling both national and boutique developers.

He comments: “With increased investment and international maritime events, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing real growth from all buyer types here in North Cornwall who want the allure of sea views and scenic walks. Improved connectivity and investment in transport is making a move to the coast more appealing with London-bound flights from Newquay and a swift four-hour train service into the City.”

Zara Roberts, Sales Negotiator at Jackson-Stops Cornwall branch, comments: “Richard, Dean and Daniel joining the team underlines our focus on customer service, the national strength of Jackson-Stops and our unrivalled local expertise. With an unwavering allegiance to the South West property market, the trios focus on technology, innovation and marketing will match buyers and sellers in their pursuit for the perfect place to call home.”
