A beautifully presented terraced cottage in the centre of a popular Dorset village.

Lynden Cottage is a charming terraced cottage that has been well refurbished and beautifully presented by the current owner, who currently lets the property as a holiday cottage which through "Airbnb" generates a substantial annual income. With lovely stone floors and exposed boards, the accommodation comprises a spacious sitting room with fireplace and wood burner, a well-equipped kitchen, a large main bedroom with beamed ceiling, a 2nd bedroom and family bathroom. The owner would be very happy to sell the cottage with an extensive inventory so that the holiday letting could be continued or alternately it would make a lovely first home or an ideal weekend retreat in a popular village surrounded by lovely Dorset country side and close to the Jurassic coast.

Behind the cottage with access from the kitchen there is a useful covered alfresco dining area and beyond that an enclosed cottage garden with a lawn and borders to either side. In front of the cottage, access is straight off the village street and there is plenty of parking in front of the cottage.

Cattistock is a thriving village nestling in the beautiful Dorset countryside much of which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The village has a primary school and pub (The Fox & Hounds) and more local amenities are just down the valley in Maiden Newton. There is fabulous walking, riding and cycling all around the village and it is only a short drive down to the wonderful Dorset coastline between Weymouth, Bridport and beyond along the Jurassic Coast. Although rural, Cattistock is by no means isolated and it is only a short drive into the County town of Dorchester where there is an excellent shopping centre and many other amenities. Close proximity to the A37 means that it is an easy drive up to Yeovil and Sherborne or down to Weymouth, Poole and Dorchester, where there is also has a mainline railway station with a fast regular service to London Waterloo (with a branch line connection nearby in Maiden Newton). All of this makes Cattistock a great destination in the picturesque Dorset countryside, with the huge advantage of excellent communication links.
