Listed Grade II and thought to date from the mid to late 16th Century, with 20th Century additions, the farmhouse, which displays exposed timbers extends to 3,400 sq ft, and offers well laid out and well-presented accommodation. On the ground floor, off a central hall is an atmospheric dining room with a fine brick fireplace, exposed timbers and French doors onto a west facing terrace and gardens beyond. There is an equally well-proportioned triple aspect sitting room, also with a fine brick fireplace and south facing French doors opening onto the garden. A fully fitted kitchen by Anglian Factors has a marble tiled floor and opens into a morning room/breakfast room with French doors onto a sheltered suntrap south/east facing terrace. Beyond the utility room, cloakroom/shower room and rear hall is a useful multi-purpose study/play room.
On the first floor are five bedrooms, an en suite shower room and family bathroom, together with an attic bedroom (6).
The house benefits from an oil-fired central heating system and the majority of rooms enjoy views across the gardens and surrounding countryside.

Beyond is a detached brick former cart lodge which provides triple fronted open garaging with a multi-purpose hay store above and a pair of timber frame lean-to stable to the side.

Outside
New Street Farm sits amidst delightful gardens which are enclosed by post and rail fencing and mature natural hedgerow. To the east are a pair of attractive ponds overhung by willow and oak trees, whilst to the west the lawned gardens have well-stocked herbaceous beds and borders, together with a brick rose clad pergola and a well-managed area of kitchen garden complete with modern greenhouse. Adjacent to the front door is a wide paved parking area and beyond the gardens is an acre of post and rail   paddocks. In all the property extends to about 2 acres.
