The town of Colchester is approximately 8 miles to the south and there is access to extensive recreational and commercial facilities, together with a direct line commuting train to London's Liverpool Street Station (about 45 minutes). The A12 dual carriageway is located approximately 1 miles to the east and provides excellent communication for the A14 to the north and further afield and the M25 motorway and London to the south. There are good schools locally, together with a number of public and private schools in both Colchester and Ipswich. From the village of Stratford St Mary take the signs to Higham. As you drive between Stratford St Mary and Higham, Drumlins can be seen across the fields on the right-hand side. Continue into Higham and at the small green in the centre bear right and continue out of the village back towards the A12 on the B1068. Drumlins comes up on the right-hand side after about 250 yards.
