Asking Price Of £565,000

An impressive beautifully maintained modern detached house in a lovely village setting.

Highfields is a good looking and substantial modern detached house on an exclusive small development for four similar properties close to the centre of this very popular village. The house was built in the late 80's and has subsequently been very well maintained and updated by the owners of the last 20 years. A new 'Country Image' kitchen was installed a few years ago, the bathrooms have both been refurbished and upvc double glazing has been installed and the external timber work replaced for efficiency and ease of maintenance. The accommodation is immaculately presented throughout and comprises; a sitting room and study at the front of the house, and at the back a kitchen/breakfast room, separate dining room and conservatory all overlooking the gardens. Upstairs there are 4 generous bedrooms and 2 bathrooms including a very generous master suite with fitted 'County Image' bedroom furniture and a large ensuite bathroom. The constant updating, and improvement make Highfield a very easy and economical house to manage, and a great opportunity to buy an attractive home in a lovely village setting.

The house is set nicely back from the lane behind a tall beech hedge with the winterborne flowing along the front boundary. The house is approached over a wide private drive which is shared with the three neighbours and opens on to a gravel parking area in front of the house and to the attached double garage. To the side of the drive there is an open lawn with neatly kept rose beds, and some specimen trees and shrubs. Behind the house and beyond the conservatory the gardens have been cleverly landscaped to make the most of the slope. From the terrace behind the house steps lead up to another terrace with brick retaining walls and more very well stocked borders and rose beds. Beyond this there is another lawn with borders interspersed with mature shrubs and specimen trees. All in all, a lovely place to sit and enjoy the afternoon sun which sets along the valley behind the house.

Winterborne Stickland is a popular village located in one of the pretty valleys to the west of Blandford, a stone's throw from Bulbarrow and Milton Abbey. There is wonderful walking, cycling and riding country all around the village, the coast is within 40 minutes' drive to the south and there are many other good opportunities for sport and recreation in the area. Winterborne Stickland has a thriving community with a pub, a nursery school and a busy village hall. For everyday shops and amenities, it is only a short drive over the hill into Blandford where the historic Georgian market square is surrounded by a good range of services and shops including a Tesco and Lidl superstores, and an M&S food hall.
