The Costa del Sol boasts a 325 day a year sunny climate and offers unsurpassed leisure and sporting activities, especially golf. English is widely used, perhaps more than anywhere else in Europe where it is a second language. There are excellent schools and colleges available that follow the British Curriculum.

The area enjoys one of the most cosmopolitan lifestyles in Europe and is almost unlimited by its choice of cuisine in the numerous restaurants along the coast. The hilltop villages and castles set in the Andalucian Hills behind Marbella offer a more traditional culture and Ronda, Seville, Cordoba and Cadiz are all easily reached offering Moorish architecture and a change from the faster pace on the coast.
