Teddington is an affluent town to the South West of London in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames, where it lies between Bushy Park and the River Thames. Teddington’s popular High Street boasts a number of smart shops and trendy restaurants and bars whilst the surrounding roads have a variety of cottages and family homes. The excellent local schools help to attract young families moving out of the city who enjoy the open spaces and friendly community of this combined with the excellent transport links.

Following the river and the park south, Teddington merges with Hampton Wick. Formerly a village, Hampton Wick enjoys a quiet feel and its own local shops it is just a short walk over the bridge to the amenities of Kingston.

Teddington Lock

Teddington Lock is a system of three locks and a weir on the River Thames, with the river downstream of the lock, known as the Tideway, being entirely tidal. Cyclists can enjoy Thames cycle routes between Teddington Lock and Hampton and pubs overlook the boating activities.

Bushy Park

Over 1,100 acres, Bushy Park is the second largest of London's Royal Parks and is popular with cyclists, riders and runners alike.

Bushy Park is home to Teddington Rugby Club, Teddington Hockey Club, and four cricket clubs. It also has fishing and model boating ponds, horse rides, formal plantations of trees and other plants, wildlife conservation areas and herds of both Red Deer and Fallow Deer.

The park is also home to several lodges and cottages, Bushy House, the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and the Royal Paddocks, and two areas of allotments, and The Pheasantry Café.

Rail
