With a busy centre providing residents a great selection of mainstream and specialist shops and services, Twickenham also offers a number of excellent residential roads, attracting many families with the choice of local schools.
To the south west of Twickenham centre is Strawberry Hill. A quiet affluent suburban area with some notably large Victorian houses, this is serviced by a mainline station and a small selection of local shops.

The inspiration for the name of the area, Strawberry Hill House is Horace Walpole’s 18th Century Gothic Castle, the classic example of Georgian Gothic revival architecture and has just been opened to the public following a £9m restoration project.
