Clockhouse mews is set on the edge of
Penshurst; a quintessential English village with several
farm shops, public houses and village tea rooms. It is also
home to the Viscount De L'Isle's renowned Penhurst Place,
which boasts of England's oldest gardens as well as an
original medieval house to explore and discover.

The area also provides many other country gardens and historic
landmarks which are open to the public such as Great Dixter
House and Hever Castle where you can while away a sunny
summers day. A little further a field is Royal Tunbridge Wells.
Once considered to be one of the very finest spa resorts in the
land, Tunbridge Wells still houses the Chalybeate Spring that
made the town a health resort to royalty and the aristocracy.
Today visitors can still benefit from the soothing spring waters
whilst visiting the local antique stores, bookshops and
boutiques.
The town can also cater for your daily
needs from a local Sainsbury's to the several farmer's
markets in the area offering local produce, not to mention a
choice of many excellent restaurants, old inns and cafe
culture eateries.
If you still want to be dazzled by the
bright lights of the big city, then Charing Cross and Cannon
Street are only an approximate journey of 40-50 minutes from
Tonbridge or Hildenborough train stations with the tranquil life
of country living awaiting you upon your return.
