Last November I sold the above property via Jackson-Stops. I was hugely impressed by the efficiency of the Newmarket team who dealt with this sale, in particular a lady with whom I dealt with on a regular basis, namely Lottie Hanbury.
Lottie and her colleagues were on the ball from the off. Communicative, helpful and pro-active, I was kept in the loop from the word go, factors that, for me, were hugely reassuring and important. As a businessman myself, I can't bear the "mushroom treatment". Jackson-Stops made sure thoughts along those lines never surfaced!

As a pricing consultant, regarded as being in the top 4% of experts in the UK, I know that the value of anything is directly influenced by the need to acquire. Any mismatch between these needs simply gives a false assessment.
The other estate agents I interviewed simply gave me a price which they thought I wanted to hear rather than the sound reasoning I received from Jackson-Stops which was based on true market evidence and a number of other completed sales which they had achieved within the vicinity.
It is equally true that with large transactions we buy into the reputation of a particular firm or agency and thus the integrity of the people we deal with. From my first meeting until the sale proceeds were safely in my bank account the difference came from the years of experience provided by the two Newmarket office partners, Jock Lloyd-Jones FNAEA and Edward Russell MRICS.
Their professionalism never allowed me to distance myself from the management of the sale so it became an inclusive responsibility. That removed a great deal of stress because I didn't feel like I was taken over. This is an important and yet often neglected measurement of the quality of the entire experience.
For unique, high value properties buyers tend to be more demanding and discerning. I wanted to achieve a premium price which meant that the hard work was for Jock and Ed to eliminate the time wasters and carefully match the right buyers to my properly. This was done with the utmost skill which ultimately paid a handsome dividend.
The entire process took about six weeks from start to finish, a considerable achievement given my demanding time frame and target price.
