The Yorkshire and North East office has been based in the medieval City of York for over 60 years, having moved from Leeds in 1949, and works in close conjunction with our other North of England offices: Wilmslow, Hale and Chester. This wide spread of offices provides our clients with an unrivalled service in the areas of residential sales and valuation, development consultancy, and new homes sales across the North of England.
Nick Talbot looks after the Yorkshire and North East region and has many years' experience in the sale and valuation of quality city townhouses and apartments, village houses, cottages, country houses and estates, together with development land and new homes.
The Yorkshire and North East office covers a wide geographic area including some of the country's most unspoilt upland areas including the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, both within an hour's drive. Added to that is the dramatic undulating countryside of West Yorkshire with its rich heritage and urban centres of Leeds, Huddersfield and Halifax. To the north, County Durham, the North Pennines and Teesdale offer numerous pretty villages and towns with the regional centres of Darlington, Durham and Middlesbrough all within easy reach, as well as the industrial centre of Teesside.
The region is well connected with the M1, A1(M) and M62 trans-Pennine motorways connecting its major centres. Railways services are excellent with direct high speed rail services to London King's Cross from York in under two hours, and Leeds and Darlington also on the East Coast Mainline.
The office is located in a prominent position in the shadow of York Minster, the largest of its type in Northern Europe, and close to the famous Shambles.
York is one of the most visited cities in the UK and boasts not only a wealth of historical sites and museums but an excellent range of shops, hotels and the famous York Racecourse. York has a range of highly regarded independent and state schools together with the University of York, one of the most popular in the country.
