SITUATION The property occupies an elevated position on a quiet country lane overlooking rolling Kent countryside in the hamlet of Roughway, near Dunk's Green and close to the sought-after villages of Shipbourne and Plaxtol. It is conveniently located only about 5.5 miles North-East of Tonbridge and about 9 miles South-East of Sevenoaks. There are some wonderful walks with breathtaking views in the immediate vicinity with several excellent local public houses to visit including a 16th Century pub about 1 mile from the property and the popular Chaser Inn public house in Shipbourne. The nearest shops are in the neighbouring villages of Plaxtol (2.2 miles) and Hadlow (2.9 miles). Kings Hill (5 miles) has Waitrose and Azda supermarkets. DIRECTIONS From Tonbridge, head North on the A227, Shipbourne Road (straight ahead/fork right at the traffic lights at the top of the High Street by Tonbridge School). Continue for about 2.2 miles (over 2 roundabouts) before turning right into Higham Lane on the corner of a sharp left-hand bend. Then turn immediately left into Puttenden Road (towards Plaxtol). Continue to the end of this road and at the cross roads continue straight over into Dunk's Green Road. Where the road bends sharply to the left, turn right passing the pub. Roughway Hill will be found about 1 mile along this lane on the right-hand side. From the M25 (junction 5)/Sevenoaks, take the A25 exit towards Sevenoaks. Stay on the A25 through Riverhead (over two roundabouts) and Seal. Shortly after the Crown Point pub turn right into Coach Road (towards Ivy Hatch). Proceed through Ivy Hatch and out on High Cross Road. At the end of the road turn right to join the A227 (towards Tonbridge). After about 1.2 miles, by The Chaser Inn on The Common in Shipbourne turn left into Upper Green Road across the Common. Continue on this road for about 1.3 miles before turning left into Dunk's Green Road. Where the road bends sharply to the left, turn right passing the pub.
