THE PROPERTY

An attractive period cottage quietly tucked away just off the village high street. Steps lead down to the front door which opens into the entrance hall off which there is a cloakroom with wc and washbasin. A short flight of stairs leads to the L-shaped sitting room which has an open fire with a raised hearth, a range of built-in bookshelves and exposed beams. The stairs continue to a further mezzanine level with a bathroom and thence to the first floor with a double bedroom with built-in wardrobes. Bedroom 2 has a raised bunk bed and space for a further single bed and a built-in wardrobe. There are lovely views from the dormer windows. On the lower ground floor there is a good-sized dining room with a door opening into the kitchen fitted with a range of base and wall units, a double drainer sink and a gas cooker. There is parking for one car in the shared tarmac drive. Steps lead up to a higher area of garden which is currently cleared, ready for planting. Blockley is a charming village nestling in a fold of the Cotswold Hills midway between Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh. This popular village also contains a community shop, primary school, two village inns and a Medieval Parish church. Shopping and other facilities are to be found in the local market towns of Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh whilst the main shopping and cultural centres for the area are Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham and Oxford. Most West Midland centres are within daily commuting distance and there is a main line station to Oxford and London Paddington from Moreton-in-Marsh.
