A spacious detached bungalow in need of updating, lying in a rural hamlet, well placed for mainline communications The hamlet of Woodmancott lies on the immediate eastern side of the M3 and A33 between the Cathedral City of Winchester (10 miles) to the south, and the major town of Basingstoke (10 miles) to the north, in the Civil Parish of Micheldever, and in the City of Winchester District of Hampshire. Woodmancott is surrounded mainly by downland and open countryside and the village is grouped around St James Church. There are local amenities in the nearby villages of North Waltham, Dummer and Micheldever. The latter has a station to London Waterloo. Woodmancott is well placed with fast access onto the A33/A30, the A303/A34 and the M3. These road links provide good access to many parts of the country including the M25 orbital motorway, the airports, and London. Basingstoke also has a mainline station to London Waterloo with a fast commuter service. The property is a detached bungalow, but it has a fascinating history with its origins dating back to circa 1870/1890, when it was a sheep drovers' public house known as ''The Old House at Home'. Bought by the current owner in 1997, the property was subsequently extended and remodelled in early 2000. The bungalow has brick elevations, part colour washed, inset upvc double glazed windows under a tiled roof. Now in need of updating, but the accommodation is very spacious, extending to some 2158 sq ft.
