A sheltered terrace is approached by way of doors from both the sitting room and kitchen/breakfast room. The downland village of West Stoke lies some 4 miles to the north west of Chichester. A particularly pretty hamlet, houses are seldom available here and are much sought after, surrounded as it is by some of the best countryside in the county and close to the famous walks through the ancient yew forest of Kingley Vale. From here walkers can reach the crest of the South Downs with panoramic views over the Sussex Weald. The surrounding countryside is home to many pretty villages and country pubs. An ideal place for walks, horse riding and mountain biking. The area is also well placed for access to the waters of Chichester Harbour with Bosham and its famous sailing club being only 4 miles distant. There are further sailing clubs at Itchenor and Chichester Marina, providing access to The Solent and some of the best sailing within convenient travelling distance of London. A few miles to the east lies the Goodwood Estate, already famous for its internationally known racecourse, but also playing host to the Festival of Speed and the Revival at its historic motor circuit which are now prominent events on the social calendar. Goodwood also has a private members club, The Kennels, and a country club providing tennis courts, golf courses, gym and indoor swimming pool. The airfield at Goodwood provides facilities for private aircraft. The cathedral city of Chichester has a vibrant centre with a wide choice of shopping facilities, bars and restaurants.
