As featured in Mansion Global: Massey Hall, Cheshire

We’re delighted to see Massey Hall featured in international property title Mansion Global this week.

With its sandstone façade and sweeping parkland, the house has all the presence of a historic country estate. It was in fact completed in 2015, so that classical appearance comes with every modern comfort.

“What makes it unusual is that it was built in 2015, so that traditional appearance and grandeur comes with the facilities and practical comforts of a modern home,” says Crispin Harris, director at Jackson-Stops.

Inside, an imperial staircase leads from the reception hall to seven bedroom suites. The family kitchen sits at the heart of the house, alongside a drawing room, formal dining room, study, media room, bar and catering kitchen. A leisure complex offers a pool, gym, sauna, steam room, treatment rooms and a salon.

The grounds extend to about 26.7 acres and include a walled garden, an outdoor pool with pool house, a tennis court, showroom garaging and two staff flats. A gate lodge is available in addition.

The site has a longer history too: the house was built on the site of a late 19th-century property understood to have been used as a school for almost 60 years.
