Talking to our clients, it’s clear that they want to see a definitive election results so they can understand where they are going in the future and have some distinct direction. Confidence is at a low because of the uncertainty surrounding the election, combined with a lack of direction on the UK’s future, making it difficult for people to make big decisions.
Once there is a clear result, there will be greater confidence, which will allow people to begin to realise their property goals.
While the general election is looming over us, it’s likely there won’t be an enormous amount of movement in the property market. We’re noticing that new instructions across Cheshire are still receiving good attention and have sold. We’ve seen competitive bidding situations too, but only with properties where the guide price has been sharply focused. The enduring advice that correct and accurate pricing leads to successful sales has never been more relevant than it is today.

Our prediction is that there will be highlighted activity and demand, which will benefit those that are prepared and able to enter the marketplace quickly.
