Race cars catch air at the Pageant of Power - sponsored by Jackson-Stops & Staff
From Maserati to Morgan and Ford to Ferrari, the grounds of Cholmondeley Castle were filled with the roar of exhaust notes over 13-15 June as classic and contemporary cars descended on the area for the annual Cholmondeley Pageant of Power. Hailed as the Norths answer to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the event showcases the best of finely tuned automotive power, consistently drawing a large crowd.

Central to the action at the Pageant of Power is a 1.2 mile track that runs through the grounds, where hundreds of cars and bikes compete, spanning almost seven decades of motorsports.

Jackson-Stops & Staff sponsored the event this year, with the bridge before the finish line aptly renamed the Jackson-Stops Bridge. Racers hurtled over the humpback bridge clocking up some impressive air time, including JSS Wilmslow director Crispin Harris in his 1958 AC Monoposto racing car, all hoping to win the prize for most impressive jump provided by Jackson-Stops & Staff. Despite Crispins best efforts, it was driver Max Marshall who claimed the title in his Ford GT, representing the Ford Motor Company.
