Our 2022 property market predictions include a continued and strong demand for rental properties due to an imbalance between stock and demand, undoubtedly because of 2021's housing market activity.
Our predictions are calculated on the basis that over half of our branches believe that property chains will become shorter this year, due in part to a higher volume of cash buyers but in the main as a result of an influx of purchasers returning to the sales market from renting.
2022 will continue to see increased interest in renting, both in the countryside and towns and cities, with people who lost out on buying their home choosing an interim solution by renting. Renting for a short period of time has become more attractive and allows those looking to buy in particular areas time to really get to know their surroundings before taking the plunge to buy.
