Cheshire

For ten days between 6th and 16th June the equestrian extravaganza that is Bolesworth International Show takes place at Bolesworth Castle, Tattenhall, with international showjumping, live music, action and family-friendly entertainment with onsite camping and exclusive ringside hospitality. https://bolesworth.com/international/

Another great, and free, day out in June, Chester Regatta (10th June) provides a lovely day out the family and well-behaved dogs are welcome too. There is no admission cost for spectators. Predating the Henley Regatta by over 100 years and, older than the Oxford/Cambridge Boat Race, rowing clubs from across the country race on a 700m stretch of the River Dee near the Red House past the hosts Chester Sailing Club, past Sandy Lane Park and onto to the finish near the Earls Eye. https://www.chesterregatta.org/spectators.html

The North's + UK’s biggest fashion week outside London comes to Chester Cathedral from 13th – 15th June. A global fashion week founded in 2018, it ‘s led by CEO and regional director Claire Namukolo Raven from Chester, who draws inspiration from the global big four fashion weeks, Milan, London, Paris, and New York. https://cheshirefashionweek.com/

Your canine companions need not miss out, with a show dedicated to them at Dog Fest, Tatton Park from 15th- 16th June. Wirral & Merseyside

The Wirral Viking festival is an immersive, inclusive, family friendly event that celebrates the Norse heritage of the Wirral peninsula and takes place on 25th and 26th May at Leasowe Castle on Wirral peninsula. https://www.thewirralvikingfestival.co.uk/

With some tribute acts of big-name artists including Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Artic Monkeys, Stereophonics and Elton John Wirral Family Festival on the 11th May looks like a fantastic family day out. https://www.wirralfest.co.uk/

Over nine days and 19 routes, the Wirral Walking Festival highlights the variety of walks that take place in Wirral during Spring/Summer each year. The Wirral Walking Festival includes short strolls, long-distance treks, Nordic walking, mixed ability running, and much more! Immerse yourself in the work of Van Gogh as his work comes to life by appearing and disappearing, flowing across multiple surfaces, and heightening the senses with their immense detail. Witness over 300 masterpieces, including instantly recognizable classics freed from their frames. North Wales & Anglesey
Love a train? The UK’s newest premier model garden railway event, Llangollen Garden Railway Festival, takes place on 11th May, and will be a great day for families and kids as well as hobbyists and enthusiasts! https://www.lgrf.co.uk/

Anglesey Vintage Equipment Society's show is now believed to be one of the largest of its type in North Wales and provides fun for the whole family. Shropshire
Ye Olde Camp Severn Kids Festival takes place from 4th to 5th May. Dive into an enchanting realm where medieval wonders and mythical fantasies come to life! For the boating fans, the 2024 RBC Brew Dolphin Shrewsbury Regatta is happening on 11th and 12th May.
