No one could have predicted how 2020 would affect us all and lockdowns and restrictions look likely to stay for a little while longer. Our new ways of working have resulted in changes to many businesses, including Jackson-Stops Yorkshire.
Given the nature of the times we find ourselves in, it’s no wonder that many people are re-assessing their work/life balance and looking to work remotely and that applied to Jackson-Stops Yorkshire too.
Our York office was established over 75 years ago and operated from Petergate in the centre of the city. However, with the lease coming to an end in December 2020, and the pandemic forcing many businesses to assess their working practises, we took the bold decision to close the office and adopt a remote working approach similar to most large companies. This has led to the creation of three virtual offices in York, Harrogate and Thirsk.
It was a brave decision to move out of the city centre but we have not looked back, and we’re pleased to say, hand on heart, it works…and our clients agree!
