Wrexham takes the crown!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock recently, you can’t have failed to notice that not only has Wrexham got some new owners at the helm, but they have valiantly managed to secure the National League title and a place in League Two for next season.

News that the club was taken over by new co-chairmen, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, was met with surprise and delight, and who knew that just over two years later, and with their help and support, Wrexham would be crowned league winners and gain a legion of new international and celebrity fans.

The unfolding story and news of the win has not gone unnoticed in the local property market, with Reynolds reported to have bought a local property with the aim of enticing his wife, Blake Lively to move (at least part time) to Wales. Rightmove reports a 16% increase in houses prices since the middle of 2020, which can’t be a coincidence, and property prices here rose at the highest annual rate across north Wales over the past year. The star’s ‘Welcome To Wrexham’ docuseries on Disney+ has cast a spotlight on this Welsh city, nestled between the Welsh mountains and the lower Dee Valley, close to the border with Cheshire.

Always a popular choice for those looking for peace and beautiful surrounding while being close to excellent transport links for work, property in Wrexham is now in high demand, and you get more for your money here. The BBC is even touting Wrexham as Wales’ ‘it’ city.
