Ardingly Reservoir is also close by offering opportunities for walking and water sports at the Ardingly Adventure Centre and the Ardingly Showground which holds the South of England Show and various antique and trade fairs.

Comprehensive shopping can be found in Haywards Heath (6 miles) and East Grinstead (6.3 miles). Further shopping and an excellent range of leisure and entertainment is on offer in Tunbridge Wells and Brighton. Mainline rail services can be found in Haywards Heath and East Grinstead to London Bridge/Victoria. There is a good, regular bus service in Horsted Keynes to Haywards Heath and East Grinstead.
