DESCRIPTION

Roftlee is constructed of brick under a slate roof, with white painted roughcast elevations and black painted window surrounds. Roftlee, along with a collection of properties within the immediate vicinity were built by John Boydell between 1804-1816 for the neighbouring Trevalyn Estate. The property has a Gothic style to it with exposed beams & timbers to the majority of rooms, turreted bow windows, Crittall windows with some ecclesiastical in design and all houses of this era are marked with a black cross. From Chester proceed south on the A483 signposted for Wrexham. Having passed over the A55 travel for approximately 4 miles taking the exit at Junction 7 signposted for Rossett, Llay and Gresford. Having left the A483 then take the first exit onto the B5102 and at the roundabout take the second exit following signs for Gresford and Marford. The turning onto Springfield Lane will be seen shortly on the right hand side. After turning onto the lane, the gravel drive to Roftlee is seen on the left, with Roftlee being on the left once you have turned onto the gravel.
