Whatley House is believed to date back to 1810, the Georgian era, and is Listed Grade II, being of significant architectural importance and historic interest. Of classical design of the period, the house is constructed of red brick Flemish bond with deep twelve pane sash windows, all under a tiled roof with tall brick chimneys. The house has an imposing pillared entrance with a closed gravelled courtyard and flight of steps leading up to the formal pedimented front door.
